A seasoned, bilingual and energetic professional, Jacquie has worked in the public and private sectors for more than fifteen years.
She has led government and public policy affairs in Ottawa for a multinational biopharmaceutical company, where she was on the front lines of the one of the largest public health issues in recent history, the H1N1 immunization campaign.
Jacquie has acted as chief spokesperson for former federal International Trade Minister Jim Peterson during major policy shifts to embrace emerging markets such as China, India and Brazil, negotiations at the World Trade Organization and Canada-US trade talks. She has been director of communications at a national trade association and has held successive senior positions in both policy and strategic communications as a federal public servant.
Overall, Jacquie has been an active and senior leader on a host of key public policy issues: international trade/WTO, development, industry, health and biopharmaceuticals, public health and vaccines, and social policy including federal-provincial-territorial relations, early childhood, labour market, employment and skills development.
She has a deep understanding of how government works and best practices in stakeholder and media relations.
She is extensively involved in her community, serving on the Board of the Government Relations Institute of Canada (GRIC) and acting as sponsorship chair of the hugely successful inaugural Hope Live gala in support of Fertile Future. Jacquie is also a founding member of Women for Mental Health, a philanthropic program at The Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health.
Jacquie has been named a Top 100 lobbyist by the Hill Times for three straight years.
